Care Centred Courses
These are courses aimed at individuals who work within the care sector.
Courses are either half a day - 3 hours (£150 per group) or a full day - 6 hours (£220 per group). Clients can book 2x 3 hour courses to obtain the 6 hour rate (£220)

MISSING FROM CARE
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
This course in aimed at anyone within the care sector working with younger people.
This course will give learners the knowledge, awareness and understanding of why vulnerable children and young people go missing and the regulations and legislations to protect these children.
Learners will understand the procedures in reporting a child missing and the ways to assess the risk and safeguard vulnerable children.

This course takes place over 3 hours in a classroom or remote environment.
CARE PLANNING
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
This course is aimed at anyone working within the care sector. Learners will understand the current standards of care planning and understand how working with the induvial will improve the care planning process.
Learners will be able to successfully create a care plan which is organised and including the plan in case of a crisis and contingencies.
This course also covers the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) of person centred care planning.

DIGNITY IN CARE
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
This course is for people who work in the care sector.
Learners will be taught to encourage people to make their own choices about the way they live and to be able to identify the core principles for dignity in care.
Learners will be able to help individuals keep their usual/high levels of hygiene and support them in contacting friends and family.
learners will know how to identify there duty of care in relation to dignity in care and know the support available to voice their concerns.

MEDICATION AWARENESS
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
This course is aimed at people within the care sector who handle medication.
By the end of the course learners will understand the principles of handling and dispensing medication and the legislations surrounding this. learners will know their roles and responsibilities and understand the causes of many drug errors.
Learners will also be made aware of the importance of accurate documentation and team work to support safe practice.

RISK MANAGEMENT
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
This risk assessment training aims to teach staff the importance of properly risk assessing and aims to equip staff with the tools and knowledge to make assessments a more practical and achievable process.
This is an essential development course for any staff with a responsibility to risk assess.

INFECTION CONTROL
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
This course is for individuals who need to be conscious of infection control including both employers and employees.
learners will understand the chain of infection and how to break the chain. they will also be aware of the best practices in hygiene and PPE, and the importance of risk management.
It outlines the responsibilities of both employer and employee whilst highlighting the benefits of robust infection control policies and procedures. This course covers all key legislation and regulations

RECORD KEEPING
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
This effective record keeping training course is aimed at assisting carers understand what is expected of them in regards to maintaining accurate up to date records and documents and ensure that all documentations meets legal guidelines.
The course will help carers improve their communication skills through teaching best practice documentation and record keeping skills.

PERSON CENTRED CARE
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
The person centred care training course will help delegates to understand the importance of seeing people as individuals.
During this course delegates will understand how to ensure they work in a person centred way.

EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
All care staff are targeted by this equality and diversity awareness training which intends to enhance their knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity, such as how to detect and prevent discrimination.
It is mandatory for anyone working in care and responsible for vulnerable individuals to take this course.

MENTAL CAPCITY ACT & DEPRIVATION OF LIBERTY SAFEGUARDING
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
This MCA & DoLS Course is aimed to help care providers and their staff to develop an understanding of the responsibilities and duties around the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA). This essential training is for workers involved in the care, treatment and support of adults who may lack capacity in making life decisions.
The course is available as a 3 hour introduction course or a more in depth 6 hour course which will explore the themes in far greater detail.
Our training offers vital support for social care providers so they comply with the Mental Capacity Act and Care Quality Commission requirements, and promote human rights.
