FIRST AID AT WORK- LEVEL 3

(3 DAY COURSE)

It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.

This comprehensive three-day course covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way.

In addition, this course will include any protocol changes that may have arisen since their last training course. This course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981

COURSE DURATION

This course runs over 18 hours spread over at least 3 days. Ideally, the course should be run over three consecutive days.

we have the flexibility to accommodate your specific needs if you so desire providing it is completed within 10 weeks of starting the course and the training sessions last for a minimum of two hours.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK- LEVEL 3

(1 DAY COURSE)

Where an organisation’s risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work practitioners, then this national Award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid – the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

COURSE DURATION

This course runs over a minimum of six contact hours in the classroom, consisting of practical and theoretical activities.

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID - LEVEL 3

(2 DAY COURSE; UNITS 1&2)

This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care.

It is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and infants, who wish to gain a nationally regulated Level 3 Award. This two-day course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted.

In order to obtain this qualification, you must attend both days and complete the two units of accreditation.

COURSE DURATION

This course runs over a minimum of 12 hours making up these two units consisting of theoretical and practical work should be run over two consecutive days.

EMERGENCY PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID- LEVEL 3

(1 DAY COURSE)

This one-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course has been designed for those who have an interest in child and infant basic life support.

If you have a professional interest, i.e. you are a child-minder or school teacher, etc, then this course partly fulfils the requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage require you to have 12 hours of paediatric first aid training, so the 2-Day Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid would be required to fulfil their requirements.

This 6 hour qualification also makes up the first half of the 12-hour course.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT AND SAFE USE OF AN AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (AED)

(1/2 DAY COURSE)

Heart and circulatory disease claims around 200,000 lives each year. Many could have been saved if a defibrillator was made available. Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and workplaces. A casualty’s survival rate will dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you have appropriately qualified personnel to use it.

Not only does this course deal with the use of an AED, but it also includes vital training in basic life support including resuscitation

COURSE DURATION

A minimum of three hours makes up this qualification consisting of theoretical and practical work in a classroom.
