Courses are either half a day - 3 hours (£150 per group) or a full day - 6 hours (£220 per group). Clients can book 2x 3 hour courses to obtain the 6 hour rate (£220)

COMBINED SAFEGUARDING
(1 DAY COURSE)
Safeguarding is how we can protect children, young people and vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect by the actions, or lack of actions, of another person. In order to safeguard and protect persons from abuse or neglect we need to learn how to identify vulnerable individuals and take necessary steps to stop abuse and neglect.
Everyone has the right to be safe and live without the fear of abuse, neglect or exploitation and this safeguarding course aims to teach you how to recognise the signs of abuse and neglect and what actions you can take to stop this from happening and occurring again in the future.
Abuse, neglect and exploitation can occur anywhere and by anyone, quite often being a person of trust. This course is designed for all persons, no matter the field that they are directly involved in, to give them the tools and knowledge to make a difference to a vulnerable person’s life.
It will also let the practitioner reporting the abuse know how they can safeguard themselves in every day work, while seeking help and reporting the incident identified. Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, Learners will be awarded an Ofqual national Level 3 Award

ADULT SAFEGUARDING
(1/2 DAY COURSE)

MOVING AND HANDLING
( 6 HOUR COURSE)
Moving and positioning training is crucial to anyone working in a job which requires manual labour. Even if you don’t lift things very often, there are always risks associated with manual tasks. Whether you lift heavy objects or care for the sick or elderly, you need to be adequately trained in moving and positioning to ensure your own safety as well as the wellbeing of those in your vicinity.
This course will give you the skills to move people in a way that ensures the safety of them and you. The course will ensure that staff are complying with guidelines laid out in MHOR 1992.
The course will take up to 6 hours (depending on numbers) and will cover both the theory and practical parts of Moving and Handling of people.
COURSE DURATION
This course can either being run over 3 hours for the theory or 6 hours for theory and practical in a classroom environment
FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
Since the publication of the fire safety Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the provision of fire training has become a legal requirement for all employees within the UK. Fire safety in the health and care environments is particularly challenging since many people will require some degree of assistance from staff to ensure their safety in the event of a fire.
Fire within a health or care setting can have a significant impact and consequences which can include property loss, injury and potential loss of life. High levels of fire safety awareness and knowledge by the health and care workforce is essential if safe environments are to be maintained, and the distressing consequences that can be caused by fire are to be prevented.
This course meets the legal requirements for your staff but also provides the skills to create safer care environments.

HEALTH AND SAFETY (INC. COSHH AND RISK ASSESSMENT) AWARENESS
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
This course gives a comprehensive overview of Health and Safety within Health and Social Care Accidents in the workplace must be kept to a minimum and all staff are accountable. This course covers all aspects of health and safety, ensuring that all staff, service users and visitors are protected from harm.
The course covers all of the key UK legislation and ensures that learners fully appreciate the implications when things go wrong - in terms of both health and financial impact. The course meets legal obligations set out in HSAW 1974. Course duration is 3 hours and can be delivered on site or remotely.

Basic Life Support and Safe Use of An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) - Level 2
(3 HOUR COURSE)
Heart and circulatory disease claims around 200,000 lives each year. Many could have been saved if a defibrillator was made available.
Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and workplaces.
A casualty’s survival rate will dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you have appropriately qualified personnel to use it.
Not only does this course deal with the use of an AED, but it also includes vital training in basic life support including resuscitation
COURSE DURATION
A minimum of 3 hours makes up this qualification consisting of theoretical and practical work in a classroom.
EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY
(1/2 DAY COURSE)
All care staff are targeted by this equality and diversity awareness training which intends to enhance their knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity, such as how to detect and prevent discrimination.
It is mandatory for anyone working in care and responsible for vulnerable individuals to take this course.
