Sonja Bunting
Nurse Advisor
When I left school I wanted to train to be a nurse but, unfortunately my Dad passed away around the same time so, I started working as a Health Care Assistant in 1991.
Over the years I tried other roles such as Shop Manager and running a Pub but always returned to care work as this was the area I enjoyed most.
I gradually worked my way to Senior Carer / Duty Manager and in January 2008 I took the plunge with my families support and started my Nurse training. It was hard studying with two young children at home but in January 2011 I qualified as a Registered Nurse - Adult (RNA).
Since qualifying I have worked in many different roles and settings including Care Homes, Hospital clinics, Travel Health Clinics, Medical Insurance and for the last 3 years I have been working in Public Health running Covid Teams for Local Authorities.
I am now studying my Award in Education and Training Level 3 to enable me to be more involved with the family business.
In my spare time I am either walking the dogs or spending time with my grand daughter.
